WHAT I THINK:

“Freaks and Geeks”: This show gets me. It perfectly captures the awkward, trying-too-hard feeling of high school. It’s like looking back at my own teenage years, cringe and all, but with a lot of heart.

“Arrested Development”: The humor is so smart and layered. I catch new jokes every time I watch it. It’s the kind of show you quote with your friends and just dissolve into laughter.

“Deadwood”: The language is intense, but the characters are so compelling. It’s a raw and gritty look at a time and place I knew nothing about, and it completely drew me in.

“The Wire”: This isn’t just entertainment; it’s a social commentary. It made me think about the complexities of urban life in a way no other show has. It’s a masterpiece.

“Firefly”: I’m a sucker for sci-fi, and this show had it all: space travel, Western vibes, and witty dialogue. It was canceled way too soon, but the fan community is still going strong, and for good reason.

“Party Down”: Relatable humor at its finest. Anyone who’s ever worked a crummy job will see themselves in these characters. It’s a hilarious slice of life.

“Happy Endings”: Personal Note: Just a fun, feel-good show. Sometimes you just want to watch something light and breezy that makes you laugh, and this is it.

“Hannibal”: Visually stunning and psychologically disturbing. Mads Mikkelsen’s performance is chilling. It’s not for everyone, but if you like dark thrillers, this is a must-see.

“Orphan Black”: Tatiana Maslany is a force of nature. The show itself is great, but her acting is on another level. It’s amazing to watch her play so many different characters.

“Fleabag”: Honest, raw, and hilarious. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is brilliant. This show is both heartbreaking and laugh-out-loud funny, sometimes in the same scene.

“Better Call Saul”: A worthy successor to “Breaking Bad.” It’s fascinating to watch Jimmy’s transformation into Saul. The writing and acting are top-notch.

“Mindhunter”: Creepy in the best way. It’s a deep dive into the minds of serial killers, and it’s both fascinating and disturbing.

“The Good Place”: A surprisingly philosophical show disguised as a sitcom. It made me think about ethics and morality in a fun and engaging way.

“Russian Doll”: A mind-bending and thought-provoking show. Natasha Lyonne is fantastic. It’s a unique take on the time loop trope.

“Ted Lasso”: Pure sunshine. It’s a feel-good show that will leave you with a smile on your face. It’s a reminder that kindness and optimism can go a long way.
