Donut Grilled Cheese with Bacon Maple Glaze is a mouthwatering and decadent combination that combines sweet and savory flavors in one dish. Here is a simple recipe for making it:

Ingredients:

  • 2 glazed donuts
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Procedure:

  1. Preparation of Bacon:
  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • Remove bacon from skillet and place on paper towels to remove excess fat.
  • In the same skillet, add maple syrup and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring to create a glaze.
  • Return the bacon to the skillet and coat with the maple syrup glaze. Remove from heat and set aside.
  1. Preparation of Grilled Cheese:
  • Cut the doughnuts in half, horizontally.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Place one donut half, cut side down, in the pan.
  • Lay one slice of cheddar cheese on top of the donut, followed by the slices of glazed bacon.
  • Add the second slice of cheese and close with the other half of the doughnut, cut side down.
  • Cook until the cheese melts and the doughnuts are golden brown and slightly crisp, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  1. Serve:
  • Remove the grilled cheese donut from the pan and let it rest for one minute.
  • Cut in half and serve warm.
