Ingredients:
1 pound ground pork
2 cups chopped chives
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 package dumpling wrappers
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped chives, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the dumplings in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other.
Cook the dumplings for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Allow the dumplings to steam for 6-8 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
Remove the lid and continue to cook the dumplings for another 2-3 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the bottoms are crispy.
Transfer the cooked dumplings to a serving platter and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
