Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 ½ cups quartered strawberries
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 8-ounce wheel brie cheese
- 6 basil leaves, torn
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Put your brie on a baking sheet with a rim or in a small cast iron skillet (around 5 inches wide). Pop it into the oven and let it bake for about 12-15 minutes until it gets all soft and melty. Then, give it a breather for about 5 minutes.
- While your brie’s baking, grab a small saucepan and put it on medium heat. Mix together your balsamic vinegar and honey until they get all reduced and syrupy, about 2-3 minutes should do it. Toss in your strawberries and let them hang out until they get soft, about 3 more minutes. Then, give them a little sprinkle of salt and pepper, to taste.
- Now, it’s showtime! Place your warm, gooey brie on a plate or a serving dish and spoon that delicious strawberry mixture on top. Sprinkle it with your torn basil leaves.
- Serve up your masterpiece with some crackers or slices of baguette, and watch it disappear before your eyes!
