Strawberry Baked Brie

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ cups quartered strawberries
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 8-ounce wheel brie cheese
  • 6 basil leaves, torn

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Put your brie on a baking sheet with a rim or in a small cast iron skillet (around 5 inches wide). Pop it into the oven and let it bake for about 12-15 minutes until it gets all soft and melty. Then, give it a breather for about 5 minutes.
  3. While your brie’s baking, grab a small saucepan and put it on medium heat. Mix together your balsamic vinegar and honey until they get all reduced and syrupy, about 2-3 minutes should do it. Toss in your strawberries and let them hang out until they get soft, about 3 more minutes. Then, give them a little sprinkle of salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. Now, it’s showtime! Place your warm, gooey brie on a plate or a serving dish and spoon that delicious strawberry mixture on top. Sprinkle it with your torn basil leaves.
  5. Serve up your masterpiece with some crackers or slices of baguette, and watch it disappear before your eyes!
