Green Apple Margaritas

A Green Apple Margarita offers a delightful twist on the classic Margarita, introducing a tart and fruity flavor that’s perfect for those who enjoy a sweet yet slightly sour cocktail. Here’s a simple recipe to craft one:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Tequila (silver or blanco is preferred for its clean taste)
  • 1 oz Green Apple Liqueur (such as Sour Apple Schnapps)
  • 1/2 oz Lime Juice (freshly squeezed for the best flavor)
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup (adjust based on your sweetness preference)
  • Green Apple slices (for garnish)
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glass:
  • If you like a salted or sugared rim, run a lime wedge around the edge of your glass (a Margarita or coupe glass works well) and dip it into a plate of salt or sugar to coat.
  1. Mix the Cocktail:
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, green apple liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.
  1. Shake:
  • Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds or until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  1. Strain and Serve:
  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass. If desired, you can fill the glass with fresh ice before straining the cocktail into it.
  1. Garnish:
  • Garnish with a slice of green apple or a lime wheel for an extra touch of elegance.

Enjoy your Green Apple Margarita, a refreshing and tangy cocktail that’s perfect for a sunny day or a festive gathering!
