RAMBOUILLET PALACE

The Rambouillet Palace, also known as the Château de Rambouillet, is a historic castle located in the town of Rambouillet, France, about 50 kilometers southwest of Paris. It has served as a summer residence for French presidents since the 1890s and has a history dating back to the 14th century. Originally a medieval fortress, it was transformed into a luxurious castle in the 18th century. The estate includes beautiful gardens, a forest, and the famous Laiterie de la Reine and the Chaumière aux Coquillages, both known for their architectural and decorative beauty. The Rambouillet Palace has also hosted important diplomatic meetings, including the G6 summit in 1975.
