Of course the Sicilian red grapes such a Nero D’Avola, Nerello Cauccio and Nerello Mascalese are well known world wide and travellers get excited to try these well known reds. Frappato, Perricone and Nocera are also red grapes. The white grapes grown in this region are Catarratto, Grillo, Inzolia, Malvasia and Moscato. Personally, I love dry whites like Grillo and Inzolia. My all time favourite thought are the Sicilian rosè blends.
