Glamis Castle, located in Angus, Scotland, is a historic castle and the family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne. It has a rich history dating back to the 14th century, though the present building has evolved over hundreds of years with additions and modifications. Glamis Castle is famously known as the setting for Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and is reputed to be one of Scotland’s most haunted castles. It was also the childhood home of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, known as the Queen Mother, and the birthplace of Princess Margaret, the sister of Queen Elizabeth II.
