Ingredients

• 2 ounces vodka
• 1/2 ounce violet liqueur
• 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
• 1/2 ounce simple syrup
• Sugar for rimming the glass
• Lemon slice and a violet flower for garnish optional

Instructions

• Rim a martini glass with sugar: Run a lemon slice around the edge of the glass and then dip the rim in sugar. Set aside.
• In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, violet liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.
• Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold, usually about 20 seconds.
• Strain the mixture into your prepared martini glass.
• Garnish with a slice of lemon and a violet flower if available.
