Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?
A fictional story about Mythical Tales….
In the tapestry of my life, interwoven with threads of countless experiences, two encounters stand out, luminous and dark like the sun and the moon, each leaving an indelible imprint on my soul.
The first was a rendezvous that seemed to have been lifted straight from an ancient legend: a meeting with Mahatma Gandhi, a man whose name rings synonymous with peace and resilience across history. As I crossed the threshold into his modest abode, I felt as if I had stepped into a fable, the air thick with an ethereal serenity that seemed to defy the tumult of the world outside. His presence, humble yet resonant, was like that of a sage from the old tales, his aura of tranquility enveloping the room. Our conversation, laden with insights on truth and non-violence, was akin to the profound discourses of wise elders in ancient myths. His words, a melodious symphony of wisdom and humility, left an indelible impression, akin to a sage’s blessing.
Yet, the universe is a balance of light and dark, and so too was my journey. On another day, I found myself in the presence of a figure who seemed to have stepped out of a nightmarish legend: Adolf Hitler. Entering his office felt like walking into a daunting fortress, the air suffused with a palpable tension that was a chilling testament to the horrors orchestrated under his rule. I felt a weight descend upon me, the collective sorrow of countless lives lost pressing heavily. His eyes, cold and unyielding, mirrored the icy hearts of the tyrants in old tales.
In a desperate attempt to penetrate his fortress-like demeanor, I found myself trying to appeal to any vestige of humanity that might have been left within him. But my efforts echoed hollowly against his icy indifference, a chilling reminder of the atrocities that absolute power can breed. That haunting encounter was a stark contrast to my meeting with Gandhi, a reminder of the yin and yang of human nature.
These encounters, one with a figure of peace and the other with a symbol of destruction, have etched themselves into my life’s tale, serving as a perpetual reminder of the dualities that exist within mankind, capable of the greatest compassion and the most terrifying brutality.
