The festival after July 16 will go on for all subsequent Saturdays and Sundays until the grand final party on August 16, 2023 with the Midnight Chiena.

The Countryside Chiena a big party for everyone

The Chiena has become a beautiful traditional festival that is based on the “flood” that is the (intended) overflow of the Tenza River that leaves its natural bed and “passes” through the town and its streets, flooding it for the happiness of all. (The Campagna Municipality Administration and Pro Loco Campagna specify that the Chiena is a partial detour of the Tenza River and the diverted water is then channeled back into the natural riverbed through a special manhole, so that it is not wasted.) An event of ancient origin that, over time, has become a major folkloric event that is repeated in Campagna in the period leading up to the mid-August holiday. Organized by the pro Loco la Chiena the festival from July 16 will go on for all subsequent Saturdays and Sundays until August 16, 2023 (Midnight Chiena).

The “Bucket Walk,” held on Sunday in the early afternoon in which those who want to participate can, with a bucket, throw buckets of water at each other with the other participants in the festival, always in a fun and civilized manner and it pays to put on beach attire
